What’s the result of heavy rain?

According to local news, floodwaters have submerged bridges and basements in Red Lodge, Montana’s south-central region. Residents were evacuated by the government. Because the flood swept through the entire town, including the downtown area.

Red Lodge Fire Chief Tom Kuntz shared his thoughts on Monday morning in a Facebook video. He mentioned that heavy rain had caused cracks in the banks and river that runs through Downtown Red Lodge. Red Lodge Community Church served Sunday night as an evacuation shelter before the basement of Red Lodge became flooded. The Carbon County Fairgrounds Red lodge set up a shelter to evacuate residents after the floodwaters flooded the entire area.

What’s the situation in Livingston?

Livingston City Fire Department advised residents of the eastern portion of the town to prepare for evacuation on Monday afternoon. There was a high possibility of flooding like the Downtown Red Lodge Flooding.

According to the National Weather Service at the Clarks Fork the Yellowstone River, east part of Red Lodge near Belfry and southern part of Laurel experienced extraordinary flooding.

What’s the current situation in Downtown Red Lodge, MT ?

The Montana National Guard sent a helicopter to Roscoe, the west part of Red Lodge. Another helicopter was dispatched to Cooke City in the north Yellowstone National Park to rescue and search for people trapped. Some areas of Missouri Headwaters State Park have been closed. All fishing spots in the Yellowstone River are also closed.
